Granada - The closest colonial city from Costa Rica

Granada is a beautiful Nicaraguan town located about an hour from the frontier between Costa Rica and Nicaragua. It is a small colonial town that still keeps its historical buildings and atmosphere. Next to the town lays the Nicaraguan Lake, that some time ago used to be home of sweet water sharks, unique to the area. Nowadays, they seem to be extinct.
