Unique in Costa Rica! Enjoy five days of activities and fun through lush forest surrounded by giant trees, exquisite tropical flowers, exuberant wildlife, active volcanoes, and high quality lodging. On this trip you will experience mountain biking in some of the Central America's top bike trails, delight the canopy experience! where you will traverse the forest high up in the canopy, from tree to tree, suspended by ropes and harnesses, watch the Arenal Volcano and its pyrotechnic shows, and challenge yourself while rafting on the class III - IV Pacuare River (1 of the top 10 most beutiful white water rafting rivers in the world according to National Geographic).

Day 1:

Day 1: Arrive to Costa Rica, transfer to hotel in San Jose.
You will be met at the airport exit by one of Banana Adventure Tours representatives and accompanied to your hotel in San Jose. The evening is at your leisure. For those renting one of Banana Adventure Tours bikes it is recommended they visit our office for bike and equipment fitting.

What to wear: Shorts or swimsuit and dry set of clothes, shorts & T-shirt to change into.
Transfer duration: From International Airport to San Jose - 30 minutes aprox.
Activity level: Easy.

Day 2:

Day 2: Biking Tour Irazu Volcano (Intermediate). Overnight at Turrialba (BL)
Early Morning Transfer from San Jose to Turrialba.
At breakfast you will be met by your guide who will introduce you to the daily activities. Once ready we will board our vehicle and transfer to Irazu Volcano National Park at Cartago. The adventure tour begins! Here we will mountain bike through lush forest and test our skills on a fun 24 Km purpose built single-track and country roads. The trails offer not only an excellent ride but also many points of interest and our guide will stop often to show you the local nature and wildlife. After lunch we will continue our mountain bike tour closer to the Turrialba Volcano and the Guayabo Archeological site. Our guides will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. In the late afternoon we will transfer from Turrialba and spend the night in this interesting town.
Evening at leisure.

What to wear: Shorts or swimsuit and dry set of clothes, shorts & T-shirt to change into, sun block, reppellent, special shoes.
Transfer duration: From San Jose to Irazu 1 hour aprox.
Activity level: Moderate - Difficult.

Day 3:

Pacuare Rafting Level III - IV. Transfer to Arenal. Overnight at Hotel in Arenal (BL)
Yet another fun filled day, with a lot of adventure. After breakfast we will be joined by our driver who will transfer us to the Sarapiqui area. Our guides will be waiting for us at the rivers put-in point and here they will give us instructions and a thorough safety talk. The Pacuare River is a challenging class III - IV, this river offers great fun and the possibility to spot wildlife on its shores. One of our kayakers that will accompany us along the river is also a professional photographer. If interested you can have many images of your rafting trip sent to your home address at a reasonable cost.
Lunch will be at the middle of the river and after we will transfer to Arenal Volcano area at La Fortuna in the late afternoon. Overnight at Arenal. Breakfast and lunch included, evening at leisure.

What to wear: Shorts or swimsuit and dry set of clothes, strap-on sandals, shorts & T-shirt to change into, sun block.
Transfer duration: From La Fortuna to rafting base 2.5 hours aprox.
Activity level: Moderate.

Day 4:

Bike tour Around Arenal Volcano. Afternoon Visit the Arenal Volcano and Tabacon Spa. Overnight at Hotel in Arenal Area (BLD)
Today’s activity is a fantastic bike ride around the Arenal Volcano area. Early in the morning and after breakfast our support vehicle and driver will join us at hotel. Once we are all ready and after a good warm up we will begin our bike ride. The route is on dirt roads that will take us through some beautiful small pueblos and down to the Arenal Lake. Here we will board a motorboat and cross the lake, on a clear day you can enjoy spectacular views of the Arenal Volcano and its pyrotechnic shows. Once across the lake we will board our vehicle and transfer to our hotel in time for our late lunch. In the early afternoon we will transfer to the Baldi Hot Springs and Spa for our evening meal and to enjoy the many beautiful pools of this resort. Breakfast, Lunch and dinner included.

What to wear: Rubber-soled sandals or Tevas, shorts or swimsuit, cap, towel, and dry set of clothes, shorts & T-shirt to change into
Transfer duration: Depending on tour.
Activity level: Moderate.

Day 5:

Canopy Tour in the morning. Transfer Out to International Airport (B)
Today, after a delicious breakfast, we experience the thrill of exploring the surrounding forest canopy. The tour lasts two hours and goes over 12 platforms over the forest. Affter the tour, a transfer to the airport will be arranged depending on departure times.

What to wear: Shorts or confortable clothes and dry set of clothes, shorts & T-shirt to change into, reppellent, sun block.
Transfer duration: From La Fortuna to International Airport Juan Santamaria 3 hours aprox.
Activity level: Moderate.
