Costa Rica.
You will be met on your arrival at Juan Santamaria International Airport by a
tour representative and accompanied to the charming
Hotel Villa Tournon located near the centre of San Jose.
Dinner on your own, at the hotel or in San Jose. The Costa Rica is also known
for its excellent coffee, and at some restaurant it will be possible to have a
short introduction to all the different types and processes of this world renown
drink.
We will overnight at the Villa Tournon Hotel.
Day 2: The adventure
begins!
Transfer by local flight from San Jose to Palmar, ground transfer to Sierpe
village were you will board a small boat that will take you along the Sierpe
River (look out for the endangered American Crocodile basking in the sun on the
banks of the river!), we will meander through one of the most important Pacific
Coast Mangrove swamps to then enter the Pacific Ocean crossing Drakes Bay to
finally reach our destination, Las Caletas Lodge, a small, but enchanting,
family-run Lodge. It is delightfully situated on a rocky bluff overlooking Caņo
Island, Drake Bay and the Pacific Ocean Beyond. David and Yolanda are model
hosts and superb cooks. We marvel at the sunset and chat with fellow guests over
dinner - freshly caught BBQ'd fish is often on the menu (vegetarian meals are
also available).
Overnight at Las Caletas. (B, L, D.)
Day 3: Exploring the
Corcovado National Park.
After breakfast we will take a boat trip to San Pedrillo Ranger Station in the
